Variances from the official games 2025
In your thoughts, what is Variances from the official games? In versions 4.9 and earlier, the game works like Generation 5, mainly from BW2. It means that things like how moves work in the game, the Stats of Pokemon, differences in and out of the action of battle, and types of Pokemon are strong and weak against each other. An extra element was added in the game as a fairy type, and it works the same as in newer games.
We are going to start with version 5.0 because the game got an upgrade. Now, it uses its moves and battle rules from Gen 7.

Moves Changes
In Pokemon Infinite Fusion, some moves are changed from the ones in the main Games.
Teleport
In the Pokemon Infinite Fusion, when you start to use a particular item from outside of a battle, then it doesn’t just take you back to the last Pokemon center. Like using Fly, it allows you to visit any Pokemon center you have visited before quickly. Here, you want to use a third badge for this, but remember it will work only outside.
In version 4.5.6, if you finish the Ruins of Alph puzzle, you easily find a secret room. You can change the type of a Pokemon’s hidden power in that room.
HMs
In the Pokemon Infinite Fusion game, they have all the HMs from the original Kanto games, but they have added even three more. But where you get some of them might be different from what is available as in the regular game. You can forget HMs, which is not possible sometimes in the official game because they have some items that play the same part as HMs.
TM94 – Rock Smash
They added Rock Smash into the game. It is still a TM, but now you are able to use it outside of battle, just like in the Gen 2 and after games. Brock gives it to you outside of Mt. Moon.
HM05 – Waterfall
Here, a waterfall can be used to go up waterfalls, just like in the Gen2 and later games. Prf Elm provides it to us after finishing the central part of the game.
HM06 – Dive
You can use the Dive ability to enter deeper water and discover new things, like cool, hidden spots. Your character can swim down to find special places that are not easily visible on the surface.
HM07 – Teleport
In the Pokemon game, there is a new thing called “Teleport.” It is like a quick way to travel, kind of like “Fly.” By using “Teleport,” you can go to any city you have been to before, but you will get this ability after beating the third gym in Vermilion City.
HM10 – Rock Climb
In the game, there is a move called “Rock Climb.” It allows its players to go up ledges that they can usually only jump down from. So, instead of going down, you can also climb up.
Previously, “Bounce” (HM09) was used for the move, but it has now been removed. Now, you can get it with another option called “Globat Boots.”It is different from what it was previously, but it has the same ability.
From 3 to 7 Generations of Pokemon
In the Pokemon Infinite Fusion game, there is a group of Pokemon from different generations. However, not all of the Pokemon from generations 3 to 7 are available in the game. So, there are some different numbers included in the Pokedex compared to their original generations.
Check the complete list in Pokedex.
Change of Ability
In the Pokemon Infinite Fusion game, some Pokémon like Pidgey, Ekans, Diglett, and others have special abilities that will change during evolution. It is done to make this game so funny. For example, there is a skill called “Tangled Feet” that might make more sense for a Pokémon with Pidgey’s body instead of its head. So, they switch these abilities around to make things balanced and sound in the game.
Pickup Ability
In this game, the pickup ability works like it did in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. There are also some small changes to abilities. For example, Delibird now has Snow Warning as a hidden ability.
